GTO Technology

The strength of technology and operations is present in everything we achieve. Delivering tailored information technology and seamless transaction solutions is essential to Deutsche Bank’s global resilience. Pioneering technologies and re-engineering processes, we combine exceptional levels of innovation with world-class client service. Our division designs and develops the systems, software and solutions that make millisecond transaction times cost-effective and reliable. Every second, we face the technological and logistical challenges implicit in growth, market change and constant competition.

Active in over 50 countries and employing around a quarter of our total staff, group Technology & operations (GTO) enfolds three crucial business areas. Technology is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the cutting-edge hardware and software required to support our dynamic and successful franchise, ensuring the Bank can open for business each day. They create the core systems that process trades, assess risk and deliver data. Operations encompasses the people and processes that back up global deal-making. Every day, they make sure that billions of trades are settled, risk is minimised and clients are satisfied. The third service we deliver is logistics Services, who provide world class travel, sourcing, real estate and facilities management services to deliver superior commercial value for the Bank.

• be in your final year of study,

• speak fluent English (additional languages are desirable for some locations but not a prerequisite),

• have strong client focus and be delivery-oriented,

• have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Your Programme

Real-world experience is the driving force behind our graduate training programme, making it one of the most comprehensive of its kind. We are one of the only banks that still takes a completely global approach and we offer a mixture of specialist, tailored training and on-the-job development.  

Induction:

You will start with a four-six week induction in London. Your schedule will include networking events, global orientation and division-specific training to really help you make your mark as an analyst. The training will cover products, technology and case studies. This experience is an invaluable opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and build relationships that will be vital to you in your career with the Bank. 

Programme:

Over the course of the programme you can expect to benefit from various rotational placements. Your specific responsibilities will depend on your area of support, but roles could range from Project management, Trade Support, Business analysis, Business management, risk & Control, Client Service, or External Service Provider management. This programme is carefully designed to provide you with breadth and depth of experience and hone your skills to become a world-class professional.

Development:

We believe that continuous learning is vital to your career at Deutsche Bank. you’ll attend a 15 month training and practical rotation programme. halfway through the programme you will attend a classroom training programme that will refine key skills such as project management, career management, communication and presentation skills. Career management training will mark the end of the programme and prepare you for your working life in GTO. You will also participate in a mentoring programme that will be invaluable to your development.
